Information for WatchFTP beta testers

If you were running the WatchFTP v3 beta

The release version of WatchFTP v3 stores its settings and tasks in another location. When you install v3 you will not see (the latest version of) your tasks.

How to get your tasks back

Make sure all tasks and the WatchFTP Control Center are stopped.
Uninstall the beta.
Use Windows Explorer, go to C:\WatchFTPBeta3. Double-click the file unins000.exe to start the uninstaller.
Install the new release version.
Start WatchFTP
Select the menu "View -> Explore Task Directory" (this opens Windows Explorer)
Now start another Explorer and go to C:\WatchFTPBetaData
Copy the entire contents of C:\WatchFTPBetaData to the directory that opened from the "View -> Explore Task Directory" menu.
Restart the WatchFTP Control Center
You should now see (the current version) of your tasks again.
Run Mode (Windows Service)
If you have a task who's Run Mode was set to "Windows Service" you need to reapply this to "activate" the Service:
Change the setting to "Run Normal" (press OK). Edit the task again and set it back to "Windows Service".
