Title: Directory is Blacklisted
Post by Eric Sands on Dec 20th, 2018, 5:27pm

Hi, I am a paid user of WatchFTP and am using the program to monitor and download files from our company's bank. I've setup the program to monitor the site and download the files to a networked drive. Using Filezilla I can see and download the files manually on the host site but WatchFTP reports that Directory ******.**** is blacklisted, skipped.

How do I resolve this?

Thanks,
Eric

Hello Eric,

On FTP settings enable "keep session log" at the bottom. Then run the task until you see the error and stop it. Edit the task (set user/password to nonsense), right-click and select "Backup" from the popup menu. Now email me this backup to look at.

Gert

I'm having this same problem, and after looking through similar issues I've also set 'Passive Connection' to on... but the problem persists.
This portion in the log only shows:
20211006 093620 Starting scan of FTP directory for new and changed files
20211006 093620 Connecting
20211006 093620 Connected
20211006 093620 ** detecting files in /from
20211006 093620 ** directory is blacklisted, skipped.
20211006 093642 ** download phase
20211006 093642 No files to download at this moment

Hello Ursula,
Can you please do this:
- stop the task
- edit it
- enable the option "keep session log" (at the bottom of FTP settings)
- run the task until you see the issue again
- right-click the task and select "view session log"
- email me that log (do not post the log on this forum, it may contain private info)

Thank you so much for your help, Gert!
The problem turned out to be that they'd changed the directory structure without letting us know, so emptying the FTP Directory and then using Browse/Test Connection to browse back to the correct directory solved this for us.   :D
