Strange.
I would like to see your settings and logs. Can you enable the option "Keep Session log" (on the FTP server settings window) and run the task until you see the issue again. Then stop the task, "Right-click" it and select "Backup" from the popup-menu. Please email me the zip (gert @ gdpsoftware . com ).

Note your username/password is included in the zip so you may want to set it to "dummy" before you create the backup.

I looked into this and see that, indeed, you get multiple emails for the file titled
Pelletier #1154 _Q7Q0213 (11x14) S&S Book.psd

It is a bit misleading because you have set your email to only report the filename (file.txt) and not the full path of the detected file (/root/subdir/file.txt).

According to the logs, you received an email for
/public/UPLOADS/Pelletier #1154/Pelletier #1154 _Q7Q0213 (11x14) S&S Book.psd
and for
/public/UPLOADS/Larrabee 05_23_17/Pelletier #1154 _Q7Q0213 (11x14) S&S Book.psd

Which looks like to be the exact same file but now in another directory.

You should probably use $UFILE$ as the variable inside the email message body so you will see the full path of the detected file.

Well just had two files uploaded to my FTP. I left them there for several minutes. I am still getting non-stop e-mail notifications, yes now with the full path, but they still keep coming.

What I *think* is happening....

Someone uploads a big file (takes some time to upload)
WF detects the new file (that is uploaded for 50%) and sends email
The upload completes
WF detects the file has changed size and triggers the email again.

Is it possible the above is what happened?

As you have the option "do not download detected files" set, WF triggers the email as soon as it detects something.

When a task is set to download detected files, WF will wait until a new file does not change size (or timestamp), then downloads and then triggers the email.
