Run as Service starts then stops
Mar 19th, 2018, 7:22pm

HI,

I'm new to WatchFTP and I've created a task to watch an FTP site, and then download files to a network drive.  I'd like to run it as a service.  I've configured the task to run under an account that has access to the network drive.  When I click start, the job just stops without an error.  If I run the service manually, it tells me it stopped automatically.  It's still a trial version, as I'm waiting on my activation key email, but I don't think that is a factor.  Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Scott

Hello Scott,

I looked you up in our customer db and see the license was already emailed to you. I will send it again in a minute.

On the FTP settings can you enable the option "Keep Session Log" and run the task. When it stops again, right-click the task and select "Open FTP sessioon log" and email me this log to have a look. My email is below.

Hi Gert,

I was able to look at the log and see that I need to use the UNC path for the network share I was trying to access.  The task was using a drive letter.  Thank you for your help.
