history.db ...
Mar 19th, 2019, 3:53pm

Hi,

WatchFTP is crashing randomly after a few days with a error (see attachment).

I know how to delete or rename the history.db file and start WatchFTP again. But this can not be the final solution.

Do you have other solutions for me to give WatchFTP more stability?

best regards  :-/

Hi, sorry for the late reply.

Is this with the current v4 release? At startup it should detect (and fix) database corruption automatically.

We have a few reports like this, a corrupt history.db database file. Thus far we were never able to reproduce (sadly).

There are 2 things you can do to help us find (and hopefully fix) this issue.

1. Let us run your task
Send us a backup of your task (stop the task, right-click it and select "Backup") and allow us to run it against your FTP server. Obviously we will change some settings (like email notification and "delete after download").

If you do not like "nr 1":

2. Send us your task
On FTP Settings, enable the option "Keep Session log" and run the task until you see the problem (corrupt db) again. After it crashes edit the task and set the user/password to "dummy". Then create/email us the backup telling us NOT to run the task.
